THE ROLE
A great opportunity for an experienced and self-sufficient Bookkeeper who’s looking for part-time flexibility in a meaningful setting. Based on site at Merrylands, the successful candidate will work closely with the Director, and be comfortable working in a lively environment (with the occasional friendly interruption from little ones).
Key responsibilities:
- Payroll processing for a small team (using MYOB)
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Month-end reporting
- Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Monthly BAS lodgement
- CCS and Start Strong subsidy administration and reconciliations
- Managing general ledger and online banking
- Superannuation and leave calculations
- Annual financial reports and support for auditors
- Petty cash and insurance admin
- Liaising with external stakeholders including auditors, committee members and families
The ideal candidate will be a confident Bookkeeper who enjoys being part of a small team. You’ll need:
- MYOB experience – essential
- Experience in a Not-for-Profit or childcare setting highly regarded
- Payroll and BAS experience
- Good knowledge of Excel
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Working With Children Check – required
- Experience with CCS or NDIS/subsidy-based funding models would be a big plus!
THE BENEFITS
- 12-month Fixed Term Contract with a view to continue on
- 1 full day or 2 shorter days – ideally Fri/Mon or Mon/Tues
