The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Work Health & Safety (WHS) Manager to lead safety initiatives in a fast-paced environment. This role will drive a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with WHS legislation and best practices across the organisation.

About the Role

As the WHS Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, and wellbeing strategies to create a safe and compliant workplace. You will provide expert guidance to leaders, manage risk assessments, and ensure continuous improvement in safety policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement WHS policies, procedures, and risk management strategies.
  • Provide expert advice and training to leaders and employees on safety compliance.
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are in place.
  • Drive a proactive safety culture, embedding best practices across all levels of the business.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, standards, and industry regulations.
  • Lead return-to-work and injury management programs.
  • Monitor and report on WHS performance, trends, and improvement initiatives.
About You

  • Experience as a WHS Manager, WHS Advisor, or similar role within a high-risk environment (e.g., manufacturing, logistics, retail).
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Proven ability to influence and drive a safety culture across all levels.
  • Experience in incident investigations, safety audits, and return-to-work programs.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Tertiary qualification in Work Health & Safety or a related field (or equivalent experience).
