About the Role
As the WHS Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, and wellbeing strategies to create a safe and compliant workplace. You will provide expert guidance to leaders, manage risk assessments, and ensure continuous improvement in safety policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement WHS policies, procedures, and risk management strategies.
- Provide expert advice and training to leaders and employees on safety compliance.
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are in place.
- Drive a proactive safety culture, embedding best practices across all levels of the business.
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, standards, and industry regulations.
- Lead return-to-work and injury management programs.
- Monitor and report on WHS performance, trends, and improvement initiatives.
- Experience as a WHS Manager, WHS Advisor, or similar role within a high-risk environment (e.g., manufacturing, logistics, retail).
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
- Proven ability to influence and drive a safety culture across all levels.
- Experience in incident investigations, safety audits, and return-to-work programs.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Tertiary qualification in Work Health & Safety or a related field (or equivalent experience).
